La Fondazione Biodinamica Italiana nasce da un gruppo di osteopati volontari il cui scopo è quello di promuovere la salute e di divulgare la Biodinamica sotto la direzione didattica di James Jealous D.O
Alla guida delle fasi svolte c’è Gregory Yesensky D.O.


Abbiamo chiesto al nostro docente il Dott. Gregory Yesensky D.O con noi dal 2012 , insieme alla collega Veronique Everarts D.O, di raccontarci la sua formazione per capire da dove provenisse l’amore e la devozione per questa professione.

“ Mi sono laureato in Osteopatia presso la New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, a New York dopo aver conseguito una laurea in Biologia ed un Master in Scienze Naturali all’università di Buffalo. Avevo cominciato a leggere qualcosa sull’Osteopatia e c’era qualcosa che mi attraeva.
Credevo davvero nei processi naturali innati che operano al mantenimento dell’omeostasi del corpo ed ero estremamente interessato ad impararne il più possibile. Nel 1997 ho incontrato per la prima volta il Dott. James Jealous D.O creatore dell’osteopatia in campo Biodinamico e ho quindi potuto “toccare con mano” l’osteopatia tradizionale sotto la sua attenta guida. In questa esperienza sono riuscito ad entrare in contatto con le fondamenta dei concetti osteopatici attraverso l’osservazione della crescita, dello sviluppo e cura dell’adulto e del bambino che ricevevano un trattamento osteopatico dal Dott. Jealous. Quegli incredibili risultati provavano il potere dell’Osteopatia.
Dopo la laurea in medicina sono rimasto a New York al Saint Barnabas Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Durante questo periodo sono entrato in contatto le radici della cura primaria basata sull’osteopatia attraverso i casi studiati con il Dott. James Jealous. Ho passato il mio tempo a trattare adulti e bambini ricoverati, ambulatoriali, al pronto soccorso, dopo interventi chirurgici o nel reparto neonatale acquisendo sempre di più una comprensione dell’Osteopatia Tradizionale. Ho avuto modo di praticare molte dissezioni anatomiche su cadavere, per stimolare la continua formazione in Anatomia, Embriologia es Osteopatia. Ho lavorato a questo programma come capo specializzando. Dopo la specializzazione ho lavorato in diverse comunità tra New York, Arizone,California e Oregon lavorando sia in cliniche per adulti che per bambini, in ambulatori pediatrici e non, in reparti d’emergenza, per malati di HIV e Epatite sempre con un approccio tradizionale come
diceva Still. Ho insegnato in molti corsi di osteopatia sia nazionali che internazionali dal 2003 e in quelli di Osteopatia Biodinamica,( BioBasics teaching faculty NH, Berkshire Osteopathic Study Group, Bay Area Osteopathic Study Group). Sono anche istruttore alla Swiss Osteopathic Center for Kids, the Bavarian Pediatric School & Clinic for Traditional Osteopathy, and St. Petersburg (Russia) Osteopathic Clinic for Children, dove gruppi di osteopati vengono a lavorare e imparare in campo Pediatrico. Collaboro anche nelle scuole di Tauro e A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Sono entusiasta del fatto che ogni caso richieda un continuo studio ed esplorazione di quello che l’osteopatia può insegnare.”

”I received my Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Masters in Natural Science from the University of Buffalo- New York. Once I read about Osteopathy,I felt drawn to the profession. I truly believed in the indwelling natural processes at work to maintain homeostasis in the body, and was extremely interested in learning as much as I could.
While in medical school, I pursued a deeper understanding of the Osteopathic concepts and traveled to many courses across the United States. In 1997, I met Dr. James Jealous, D.O, the creator of Osteopathy in the Biodynamic Field, and began actively training in hands-on Traditional Osteopathy under his direct mentorship. In this experience, I was exposed to the foundation of osteopathic concept through observing the growth and development and healing of adults and children who received osteopathic treatment from Dr. Jealous. These uncanny results proved the power of Osteopathy and I continue to gain insight from Dr. Jealous everyday.
After graduating from medical school, I stayed in New York for medical residency training at Saint Barnabas Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (FP/OMM) leading to board certification in both fields. During this time, I learned the roots of primary care based osteopathy through case studies with Dr. Jealous. I spent my time treating adults and children as inpatients, outpatients, in the intensive care unit, in the emergency room, before and after surgery and in the newborn nursery gaining an understanding of Traditional Osteopathy. Additionally, I was able to perform many anatomical dissections on cadavers and stillborn premature babies to foster the continual learning of Anatomy, Embryology, and Osteopathy. I served as Chief Resident in this program.
After residency I have served at several community based clinics between New York, Arizona, California, and Oregon working in well adult and child clinics, adult and pediatric outpatient care, urgent care, in patient care, HIV and Hepatitis care all with emphasis on traditional osteopathy as Dr. Still envisioned.
I have been teaching osteopathic work at numerous courses both nationally and internationality since 2003 and is on the teaching faculty for the Biodynamics of Osteopathy program developed by James Jealous, DO, BioBasics teaching faculty NH, Berkshire Osteopathic Study Group, Bay Area Osteopathic Study Group. Also I serve as instructor at the Swiss Osteopathic Center for Kids, the Bavarian Pediatric School & Clinic for Traditional Osteopathy, and St. Petersburg (Russia) Osteopathic Clinic for Children, where groups of osteopaths come to work and train in Pediatric Osteopathy. I’m excited that each case demands continual studying and exploring to realize all that osteopathy can teach.

I‘m involved in both undergraduate and graduate medical education, and I serve as adjunct Faculty for both Touro University and A.T. Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine where I mentor’s 3rd and 4th year rotating students in my office to assist their learning of family medicine based hands-on osteopathic manipulation skills in treating all types of medical conditions.”
